CALL TO WORSHIP AND LORD’S PRAYER

Lord God, Almighty and everlasting Father, it is You who has brought us in safety to this new day.

Preserve us with Your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin, but be obedient to Your will and ways.

Help us Lord, to not be overcome by adversity, but by Your strength and direction fulfill all of Your purpose in us.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION & ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS

Dear Lord, We ask You to give us Your Wisdom.

Speak to us this morning through Your Word and Your Spirit, so we will know Your love and guidance.

Lord, we confess that we do not always obey what You want us to do.

We humbly ask for Your promised forgiveness.

Lead us in the paths of righteousness for Your Name sake.

Thank You that You are faithful and just to forgive us from all unrighteousness.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.

SCRIPTURE~ Joshua 3:1-6 (GNT)

The People of Israel Cross the Jordan

The next morning Joshua and all the people of Israel got up early, left the camp

at Acacia, and went to the Jordan, where they camped while waiting to cross it.

2 Three days later the leaders went through the camp

3 and told the people, “When you see the priests carrying the Covenant Box of the Lord your God, break camp and follow them. 4 You have never been here

before, so they will show you the way to go. But do not get near the Covenant

Box; stay about half a mile behind it.”

5 Joshua told the people, “Purify yourselves, because tomorrow the Lord will

perform miracles among you.”

6 Then he told the priests to take the Covenant Box and go with it ahead of the people. They did as he said.
